LINKWOOD — Audrey LaRue West, 73, of Linkwood, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 7, 2021, at Dorchester General. Born Jan. 29, 1948, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Harold Rebas Weber and Ruth Lorraine Dawson Krug.
She married the love of her life, Jerry, on June 15, 1970. She was a member of Sunnyside Alliance Church in Secretary. She loved spending time with her family. She was the most kind, loving, selfless person who found good in all. To know her was to love her
At the time of her death, she was employed at UM Wound Care Center in Easton. However, a majority of her working career was at Cambridge Scientific where she devoted 33 years and developed many loving friendships.
She is survived by her husband Irvin “Jerry” West; three daughters, Leisa Reid and husband Donnie of Laurel, Kelly Hurley and husband David of East New Market and Beckie West of Linkwood; nine grandchildren, Megan Guessford, Jacob Deisem, Samantha Hurley, Sarah Wheatley, Jeremy Hurley, Jonathan Spencer, Sydney and Shelby Spencer, DJ Reid; four great-grandchildren, Lilly Bramble, Gracie Wheatley, Brent Spencer and Dominic Reid and soon to arrive fifth great-grandchild, Emmett Hurley; a sister, Stephanie Krebs of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 20, 2021, at Sunnyside Alliance Church, where a walk-through visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Rev. Doug Mindek will officiate. Food and fellowship to follow at East New Market Fire house.
Masks and social distancing will be required.
