CHESTER — Brenda Kay Stout of Chester, Md., passed away on Feb. 5, 2019, at Washington Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She was 75.

Born on March 13, 1943, in Crisfield, Md., she was the daughter of the late Carroll and Lillian Bell Adams. Brenda grew up in Crisfield and graduated from Marion High School.

She married Stephen Stout in 1961, and they lived in Vestal, N.Y., until the early 1970s when they moved to Edgewater, Md., where Brenda worked for Providence Center in Annapolis. Brenda and Stephen moved to Kent Island in 1975, where she worked for Sisk Mailing Service as the human resources director. She retired in 2000 and enjoyed spending the winters in Florida and the summers in Maryland, always near the water. Since she was a little girl, her favorite place to be was the beach at Ocean City.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Stephen Stout of Chester, Md.; children Richard Stout (Penny) of Stevensville, Md., Daphne Kardian (Mike) of Church Hill, Md.; brother, Warfield Adams of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; grandsons, Nicholas Stout (Kristina), Joseph Taylor IV (Katie); and two great-grandchildren, JJ Taylor and Michael Taylor.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home P.A. in Chester, Md., where a service will begin at noon.
