GREENSBORO — Jane Walls Jarrell, 91, of Greensboro MD passed away at the Caroline Nursing Home on July 11, 2019.

Born on January 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Ola Harris Walls. She graduated in 1945 from Greensboro School. Jane was married to the late Charles “Sug” Jarrell for 70 years. She retired from being a postal clerk for the Greensboro Post Office after 31 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church where she taught and helped with Sunday school. Jane enjoyed bowling, music, playing cards, going to the slots in both Harrington and Dover, and she loved her diet fountain sodas.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Jane is preceded in her death by her son Douglas Jarrell, daughter Betsy Ann Jarrell, brother Norman “Booby” Walls, and grandson Jeffrey Lee Bishop. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Bishop (Buddy), grandchildren Jessica Walls (Bobby), Jason Bishop (Angel), Sharlee Bishop, Kevin Bishop (Paula), Rick Bishop (Lori), great grandchildren, Shelbie Bishop, Austin Walls, Brea Bishop, Carson Bishop, Trey Bishop and Lilly Bishop, niece Bootsy (Rex) Squier, niece Marsha (Alan) Anthony, nephew Tracey (Cathy) Squier, two special friends Jean Dean and Ruth Pippin, caregivers Terry Heverin and Amy Causey, as well as many more nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday July 15, 2019 at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, MD with a visitation one-hour prior.
