I was very encouraged to see my electric cooperative in front of the Talbot County Council. As a new mother and Realtor, I have the need to work from home quite often, making reliable, high-speed Internet access important to me. Choptank's vision through member regulation and being allowed to use existing assets, including fiber, seems to be the most practical solution. I would encourage the Talbot County Council and our state legislators to support the member regulation structure and allow Choptank members the ability to roll out broadband services faster and more comprehensively.
