A recent article described how supply chain disruptions are hurting small independent businesses far more than large corporate ones. What a perfect opportunity for us to reconsider our spending habits in support of our small independent businesses. Dollars spent at an independent business circulate through the community many times more than those spent at a large corporate chain. In addition, it builds economic resilience to have many small suppliers of goods and services rather than a few large ones. This holiday season, consider how your spending choices can bring cheer to the whole community!
