CAMBRIDGE — Principal Chris Davis and advisor Meredith Mears recently sold 5455 Moose Lodge Road, a 60,000-square-foot investment property off U.S. Route 50 in Cambridge.
Todd Burbage, owner of Blue Water Development Company headquartered in Ocean City, enlisted Davis to sell the property confidentially. Mears represented the purchaser, another established developer and investor on the Eastern Shore.
“There’s a lot of activity in the market right now. Commercial property inventory is increasing and bank rates are low,” Mears said. “It’s the perfect climate for investors to make in-roads on building their portfolios.”
The building is leased in full by R&M Performance, a company that specializes in the restoration of classic cars. It will continue operating its business out of the facility.
Davis and Mears worked to close the transaction quickly, helping the buyer and seller to capitalize on Delmarva’s current real estate market despite the hurdles presented by COVID-19.
“It is always a pleasure to work with Todd and his team,” said Davis, repeat real estate advisor for Burbage and Blue Water Development Company. “The entire group is well-versed in real estate investment strategy and know exactly what they want out of a transaction making for a streamlined, sophisticated process.”
