EASTON — RAUCH inc. project engineer James W. Lewis has earned his EIT (Engineer in Training) designation.
Lewis passed the certification exam and has completed three years of on-the-job training, making him eligible to sit for the P.E. exam in October 2020.
Lewis has been a part of the RAUCH inc. team for three years, bringing his expertise in stormwater design, grading, and sidewalk and road extensions for the Lakeside project, Queenstown Harbor golf course road extension and a variety of other civil engineering projects.
RAUCH inc. also announced the addition of Will Slater, James Cook and Alison Fluharty to its team.
Fluharty returns to the Eastern Shore after working for Eagle Rock and HLE Engineering in Idaho Falls.
She studied at Delaware Technical & Community College and brings years of design and drafting experience. Her focus has been on site demolition, municipal utilities, profiles and detail plans, using AutoCad Civil 3D.
Fluharty and her husband live in Seaford, Del., where she enjoys knitting, snow skiing, teaching her kids to cook and spending time with her family.
Cook joins the mechanical engineering department, having worked previously with Dixon Valve as an inside technical sales representative, working with distributors and providing in-house technical product assistance, as well as rebuilding and remanufacturing system components for customers and affiliates.
Cook has an associate’s degree in liberal arts and sciences from Chesapeake College and is working toward his Bachelor of Arts in business and associate’s degree in engineering technology. He plans on completing his master’s degree in both, as well.
Cook originally hails from Baltimore and has a Juliana pig named Gus as a pet.
Slater joins the engineering department team, bringing experience designing pipe profiles using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
He is certified as a survey technician level 1 and has his associate’s degree in survey and geomatics from Deltech. He is working toward his PLS license in Maryland and Delaware.
Cook enjoys basketball and fishing in his spare time and has experience in landscaping.
